"Deer-Stalking" shirt

Image of "Deer-Stalking" shirt

The design is a sketch by Winslow Homer entitled "Deer-Stalking in the Adirondacks in Winter" which appeared in the January 21, 1871 issue of the Boston-based Every Saturday newspaper. It is part of a series of nature prints centered around the Adirondack mountain region of New York.

Winslow Homer was and is an important figure in the Northeast and resided in Maine, more specifically in the small town in which all four of us grew up, for the last 27 years of his life.
